Shopper activation at 550 Jumbo supermarkets

In week 17, Dutch supermarket chain Jumbo will repeat last year’s Urban Jungle Garden Market shopper activation at no less than 550 supermarkets. They will do so in collaboration with the Garden plants growers Royal FloraHolland, Royal Lemkes, and the Flower Council of Holland. The shopper activation is associated with the From Grey to Green campaign.

This year’s shopper activation aims to sell more garden plants to Jumbo customers by offering an outdoor pot with the purchase of two 4-packs of outdoor plants. The intention is not just to boost sales, but also to minimise losses and offer a better product presentation on the shop floor. The product display will be supported with in-store signage at each of the participating Jumbo stores.

On top of the in-store signage, this shopper activation will also be promoted through the ‘Hallo Jumbo’ magazine and on social media. At the end of April, the From Grey to Green radio commercial will feature a tag-on for the Jumbo shopper activation. Lastly, our Dutch consumer website Mooiwatplantendoen.nl will also focus on this shopper activation, for example by sending a dedicated newsletter to its entire Dutch database as an example.
