Easier search function for thousands of images

The image bank on the Flower Council of Holland’s website has been updated. Not only have new images been added, but the search function has also been refined. This makes it even easier to find and download image material for both print and digital use.

What you can find in the image bank
The Flower Council image bank consists of over 7000 professional images of flowers, houseplants and garden plants. A wide range of images are available: lifestyle photography, product shots, and editorial images. There is also plenty of choice in terms of resolution; we distinguish between high-resolution (20MB+) images, medium-resolution (5-20 MB) and low-resolution (0-5 MB) files. That means that it is now possible to download photos over the resolution of 300 DPI, which are suitable for printing.

Improved search function
Not only have the stock of the images been improved, but the search function has also been refined. That makes it much easier to find the right image. What has changed?

  • The flowers and plants have been categorised by name and species, which means you can search in various ways, by simply entering a name in the search box or by selecting a genus, or species name.
  • Searching for the name (in English, French, German or Dutch in the relevant country websites) will also offer4 the Latin name.
  • Navigation is easy and clear - the filters are on the left, the images are on the right. You can filter by product, by colour, by location (e.g. balcony and patio), occasion (wedding) and special days (Christmas). You can also filter by resolution and size.

Easy to use and usage rights
The images can easily be downloaded individually, or make a list and download all the images in one go. The usage rights are specified for all images. We offer photographs that can be used free of charge for a specified period of up to 5 years, crediting the source (Flower Council of Holland, Funnyhowflowersdothat.co.uk and Thejoyofplants.co.uk).
